The Skärholmen District Committee is allocating a total of SEK 125,000 in grants to associations for district days in 2026. Four associations will receive funding: Stockholms Stadsmission (Vårberg, SEK 25,000), Drömstort (Sätra, SEK 25,000), Svensk-Azerbajdzjanska kulturföreningen (Skärholmen, SEK 50,000), and Jakobsbergs gård (Bredäng, SEK 25,000). These grants are intended for open events that promote community, culture, and activities for residents.

The Moderate Party has submitted a motion to the municipal council proposing to make cycling in Stockholm safer and better. They advocate for improved coordination between different modes of transport, clearer signage, better maintenance of cycle paths, and more bicycle parking, aiming for a total of 10,000 new locking posts. The Skärholmen District Administration supports the proposal to enhance cycling conditions, even though most Skärholmen residents are already satisfied with cyclist safety and accessibility, emphasizing the importance of continuous improvements for both climate and public health.

The motion proposes that the Stockholm City Council initiate a pilot project for a "citizen budget," allowing residents to decide how a portion of municipal funds are used to reduce social inequalities. While similar projects have succeeded in cities like Paris and Lund, the Skärholmen district administration believes a pilot is unnecessary as most districts already employ this approach, citing Skärholmen's own successful citizen budget in 2025 where residents voted on fruit tree and berry bush plantings in Bredängsparken.

Stockholm City is revising its food strategy to promote good health, reduce climate impact, and strengthen food preparedness. The Skärholmen District Council supports the proposal but foresees challenges in adapting diets in elderly care, as residents often prefer traditional home-style cooking. The Council for the Elderly requests an elderly impact assessment and stresses the importance of residents receiving familiar food, on-site food preparation in elderly care, and staff receiving cooking training.

The Moderates, Centre Party, and Liberals have proposed establishing a business council in Skärholmen to boost the local business climate and enhance safety. The administration agrees on the importance of local business but suggests waiting for the establishment of four new business development officers for all of Stockholm, one of whom will work in Skärholmen, to coordinate efforts more effectively.

The Centre Party, Moderates, Liberals, and Sweden Democrats in Skärholmen inquired about training for staff on how to act during active shooter situations (PDV) and how the safety of both employees and politicians is ensured. The Skärholmen district administration responded that they have procedures for handling threats and violence, and that they are participating in a city-wide procurement process for PDV training. They are also open to discussing training for the district committee's politicians.

A citizen proposed building a hobby horse obstacle course on the green space at Sätravarvsvägen 41, near the Sätra Riding Arena. The administration welcomes the idea, believing it could encourage play and physical activity among children and young people. The matter has been forwarded to the sports administration to be handled with relevant stakeholders.

A citizen proposal was submitted to the Skärholmen district council with nine suggestions to improve the inclusion of children with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD) in preschools and social services. The proposal includes staff training, adapted facilities, and better interaction. The district administration believes that several of the suggestions are already covered by existing work on accessibility and participation, but agrees on the importance of competence development and adaptations being made based on the specific needs of the operations. Individual education plans will be established to ensure staff have the right knowledge.

The protocol from Skarpnäck District Council's Pensioner Council shows that elderly issues are addressed, including home care and patient safety in nursing homes. Councilor Therese Lindström (M) proposes to permanently open a northbound lane for car traffic on Skanstullsbron to reduce queues and traffic congestion in Södra innerstaden, especially as Skansbron is rebuilt and becomes one-way southbound. The Skarpnäck District Administration welcomes solutions for improved accessibility for all types of traffic but refers the matter to the traffic committee's expertise, as it falls outside their area of responsibility.

Two Liberal politicians propose Stockholm implement a "District Boost" (Stadsdelslyft) to combat insecurity and crime in vulnerable areas, similar to Fokus Järva but broader, with a clear action plan including goals for all involved committees and companies. However, the Skarpnäck District Administration argues that such work is already effectively underway within existing structures and that Skarpnäck does not face the problems the motion addresses; rather, it is experiencing positive development.

The City of Stockholm is implementing a new food program, "Good Food for Health, Climate, and Environment," to replace its previous food strategy. This program aims to promote sustainable and healthy food within municipal operations like schools and elderly care, while also reducing residents' climate impact from food consumption. Key measures include increasing organic food requirements (at least 70% organic, 100% for dairy), cutting climate emissions from procured foods by 40% by 2030, and strengthening the city's food supply preparedness.

This matter concerns how Skarpnäck's preschools address degrading treatment and discrimination. Politicians from C and M welcome an audit showing preventive work is already underway, but seek further information on how the administration will ensure children's perspectives are considered in investigations. The administration states they will report on their work, involve management teams and educators through training to strengthen knowledge, and emphasize the main principal's ultimate responsibility for routines, with principals designating who speaks with children and assistant principals leading the work despite existing staff challenges.

The opposition in Stockholm asked the Skarpnäck district administration how many children hadn't returned to preschool or school after summer 2025, and what the administration is doing to prevent young people from being abducted against their will. The administration replied that no children were missing from Skarpnäck schools or preschools after summer 2025, and they had not investigated any cases of child abduction during that period. They explained they have routines for following up on preschool absences, social services act on welfare reports, and the city works with action plans to detect and prevent honor-related violence and oppression.

The Skarpnäck District Council is appointing Ingvar Hultmark (L) as a new member of the Social Delegation for the remainder of 2026. This delegation handles individual social service matters within the district.

The Skarpnäck District Council reviewed the patient safety report for Hemmet för gamla and Enskededalen's day activity for 2025. The report indicates improvements in patient safety, including fewer fall deviations, but a worrying increase in falls leading to fractures. For 2026, planned measures include reducing fractures, strengthening teamwork, improving medical device handling, and increasing pressure ulcer reporting.
