Data controller

kortfattat.nu is a non-profit project run by a private individual in Stockholm. Contact: kontakt@kortfattat.nu.

What we collect

• Email address — if you subscribe. Used only to send the digests you chose and to let you manage or cancel your subscription.
• Subscription preferences — which topics and districts you follow.
• UTM source — if you arrive from a link with tracking parameters, we store the source alongside your subscription so we can understand where new subscribers come from.
• Technical logs — the web server briefly logs IP address and request for debugging and rate limiting. Logs are rotated automatically.

Cookies

We use two functional cookies. They are not used for tracking or marketing.

• csrftoken — protects forms against cross-site request forgery.
• lang — remembers your language choice (Swedish or English).

Analytics

We run a self-hosted Umami instance for anonymous visitor statistics. Umami sets no cookies, builds no profiles, and shares no data with third parties. IP addresses are anonymized.

Third-party services we use

• Hetzner (Helsinki, EU) — hosts the site and database.
• Amazon SES (Stockholm, eu-north-1) — sends confirmation and digest emails to you.
• Google Gemini and Anthropic — summarize public municipal documents with AI. No personal data is sent to them.
• Meta (Instagram) — if you follow our Instagram page, Meta governs your relationship to the page under their own terms.

We don't share your data

We don't sell or rent the email list. We don't share data with advertising networks or analytics vendors (beyond our own Umami instance).

Retention

Your email and preferences are stored for as long as you are subscribed. When you unsubscribe, the record is deleted from the database.

Your rights (GDPR)

You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to processing.

Delete your data

You can delete your email address and subscription preferences directly:

• Click "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any of our emails, or
• Go to /manage, enter your email, and follow the link we send.

Once you confirm, the record is deleted from the database immediately. If you can't find an email from us, write to us and we will delete manually within 30 days.

Terms of Service

The service: kortfattat.nu is a free, non-profit service that summarizes public municipal agenda items in Stockholm using AI. The service is provided as-is, without warranty.

Accuracy: Summaries are generated by AI and may contain errors or simplifications. For decisions, legal interpretation, or official quotes, always read the original documents at meetingspublic.stockholm.se. kortfattat.nu is not an official channel of the City of Stockholm.

Acceptable use: You may not use the service to overload the server, bypass technical protections, or send spam via our subscription forms. We reserve the right to block abuse.

Liability: We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

If we update this page, the new version will be published here with an updated date below.
