The Moderates, Centre Party, and Liberals have proposed establishing a business council in Skärholmen to boost the local business climate and enhance safety. The administration agrees on the importance of local business but suggests waiting for the establishment of four new business development officers for all of Stockholm, one of whom will work in Skärholmen, to coordinate efforts more effectively.

The Centre Party, Moderates, Liberals, and Sweden Democrats in Skärholmen inquired about training for staff on how to act during active shooter situations (PDV) and how the safety of both employees and politicians is ensured. The Skärholmen district administration responded that they have procedures for handling threats and violence, and that they are participating in a city-wide procurement process for PDV training. They are also open to discussing training for the district committee's politicians.

A citizen proposed building a hobby horse obstacle course on the green space at Sätravarvsvägen 41, near the Sätra Riding Arena. The administration welcomes the idea, believing it could encourage play and physical activity among children and young people. The matter has been forwarded to the sports administration to be handled with relevant stakeholders.

A citizen proposal was submitted to the Skärholmen district council with nine suggestions to improve the inclusion of children with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD) in preschools and social services. The proposal includes staff training, adapted facilities, and better interaction. The district administration believes that several of the suggestions are already covered by existing work on accessibility and participation, but agrees on the importance of competence development and adaptations being made based on the specific needs of the operations. Individual education plans will be established to ensure staff have the right knowledge.

The Culture Committee is proposed to grant SEK 1.2 million to the Mossutställningar association for the establishment of a new studio house, Fjädermossa, in Sätra. Set to open in spring 2026 at Stensätravägen 9, this initiative will provide 28 studios and approximately 30 workspaces for professional artists, aiming to strengthen Stockholm's cultural infrastructure, particularly in the southwest where affordable studios are scarce.

The Sports Committee has approved an expanded investment of SEK 21.4 million in Sätra ice rink, an increase of SEK 10.1 million from the original 2022 decision. This higher cost is due to increased prices for equipment such as the rink boards, scoreboard, and sound system, as well as general price hikes since 2022, meaning the ice rink will receive upgraded equipment at a greater expense for the municipality.

The City of Stockholm is planning a major renovation and expansion of Lillholmsskolan in Skärholmen, which includes a new sports hall. The project, estimated to cost SEK 461.7 million, will provide the school with permanent, long-term capacity and modern facilities for adapted compulsory school. The sports hall will be accessible to the school during daytime hours and to local sports clubs in the evenings and on weekends.

Stockholm City plans to build a new, full-sized recycling center in Sätra. This facility, estimated to cost 337 million Swedish kronor, will replace the previous center in Sätra and help meet the city's needs for waste management and reuse. The aim is to increase capacity for bulky waste, hazardous waste, and materials for reuse, while creating a modern facility that reduces queues and simplifies sorting for residents.

Moderates proposed the immediate establishment of a new recycling center in western Söderort following the closure of the Sätra recycling center at the turn of 2024/2025, suggesting increased capacity at existing centers and a replacement for Sätra. In response, a new mini-recycling center will open in Skärholmen centrum in September 2025, while the search for a permanent, full-size facility continues. Additionally, Vantör’s recycling center has been rebuilt for increased capacity, and the mobile Returrundan has expanded its stops.

The board of AB Stockholmshem has appointed Olle Torefeldt as representative and Desiree Anger as alternate for the general meetings in the subsidiaries AB Stockholmshem Fastighetsnät and Stockholmshem i Skärholmen AB for the years up to and including 2026. The representative's role is to vote on matters concerning the companies' finances, such as annual reports and profit distribution, and to decide on board discharge. This is a formal decision to ensure Stockholmshem is represented at its subsidiaries' meetings.

The board of Stockholmshem has approved the company's operational plan and budget for 2026, but only plans for the construction start of 76 new homes, which Liberalerna and Moderaterna criticize. They believe Stockholmshem should focus on developing Stockholm houses with good quality and environmental performance, and collaborate with commercial actors, while also calling for larger apartments (70-90 sqm with 4-6 rooms) to lower production costs and meet tenant needs. The CEO also reported that resident relocation in the newly built Måsholmen 33 in Skärholmen is on par with other new constructions.

Councillors Anette Hellström and Johan Nilsson (M) proposed that the city immediately prioritize a replacement facility for the closed Sätra recycling center and increase capacity at existing recycling centers in southern Stockholm. The City Executive Board responded that a temporary recycling center in Skärholmen centrum will open in September 2025, and capacity at Vantör recycling center has been expanded, while work on a new, permanent recycling center in western Söderort continues.

The City of Stockholm plans to construct approximately 220 new rental apartments in Sätra, including a six-unit LSS housing facility, extending K2A Knaust & Andersson Fastigheter's land allocation agreement by two years. While the city will cover utility relocations, K2A will compensate these costs through a higher ground lease fee for the initial ten years. The Sweden Democrats oppose this decision, arguing it leads to the loss of green spaces and deviates from the area's original planning.

The main focus is on increasing safety, especially for girls, and creating more jobs for young people. The council also plans to engage in work related to the Youth Clinic and the new Social Services Act, among other initiatives.

The Skärholmen Pensioner's Council met and discussed, among other things, a food strategy for elderly care across Stockholm. The council also raised concerns about snow removal in Skärholmen and the importance of an elderly perspective in official statements. Additionally, activities for spring 2026 were planned, information about elderly care was provided, and meeting times for the entire year were set.

The Skärholmen district administration presents a list of current assignments from the district council. These include ensuring all schools focus on inclusion, reinstating the 127 Festival, implementing measures for safer traffic in Skärholmsgången, and planting wildflowers in Bredäng. Additionally, a hobbyhorse cross-country course at Sätra Riding Facility is being discussed, along with expanding the disc golf course in Sätraskogen to 18 holes.

The Inspectorate of Healthcare and Welfare (IVO) has reviewed the Skärholmen district administration and found deficiencies in their handling of cases concerning children and youth, particularly regarding checks before placements, processing of welfare concerns, and self-monitoring. The administration partially acknowledges the shortcomings but states that several measures were already implemented during 2025, including reorganization and stricter procedures. They plan further improvements in 2026 to ensure lawful and high-quality handling for children and youth.

The Skärholmen district administration has approved a permit application to build a new, gas-insulated substation in the Sätra industrial area, near the properties Sätra 2:1 and Bredäng 1:2. Owned by Svenska Kraftnät, this substation is part of a larger initiative to secure and improve the electricity supply for the Stockholm region in the future. The city planning office requested feedback on this matter, and the Skärholmen district administration has no objections.

The Skärholmen District Council proposes investing in the renovation of two parks in the area. Park playground Kulan in Sätra will receive SEK 12 million between 2027-2029 for, among other things, renewing climbing equipment, swings, and a multi-sport area. Park playground Ängen in Bredäng, which will receive SEK 11 million after 2029, will also be renovated with swings, climbing equipment, and a new skate park. The aim is to create safer and more attractive green spaces for all residents, especially children and young people.
