City Commissioner for the Elderly and Culture, Torun Boucher (Left Party), responded that it was not paternalism but a matter of alcohol laws requiring serving permits when the city organizes activities. However, a solution has been found allowing residents to bring their own drinks when they organize the fika themselves in the common room, without the district being the organizer.
