Moderate MP Andréa Hedin questioned School Commissioner Emilia Bjuggren (S) on limiting social media in Stockholm schools, inquiring about the timeline for a technical solution, the lack of prior prioritization, and why access should be audience-adapted and not apply after school hours. Bjuggren responded that a filter blocking social media and inappropriate websites on student devices will be implemented by the start of the autumn term, adding that no decision on audience adaptation has been made and the administration is investigating the need for different restrictions between compulsory and upper secondary school, as well as 24/7 blocking.
