Housing Queue Statistics: 929,584 Applicants and 12.1-Year Average Wait
The board statistics for September 2026 show that the number of registered housing applicants has increased by 18,293 since the start of the year, reaching 929,584. Between January and August, 14,062 homes were allocated, just over 300 more than during the same period the previous year, while the average queue time in Stockholm Municipality was 12.1 years and 27 percent of the homes went to people with less than four years in the queue.
