Fruängen Center: More Homes, Shops, and Safer Streets
The City Planning Administration has drafted a new detailed plan for Fruängen center, proposing approximately 290 new homes (half rental, half cooperative) and more commercial, service, and cultural spaces through additions and partial demolition of existing buildings. The aim is to enhance safety, vitality, and improve pedestrian and bicycle paths. The Hägersten-Älvsjö District Council supports the new housing and premises but requests an analysis of new store lease-out potential and the impact of reduced parking, also stressing the need to strengthen nearby parks to complement the small rooftop courtyards.
