Safety Kiosks or Stronger Local Police Presence

The motion proponents, Annika Elmlund and Christoffer Hökmark (M), propose that Stockholm should introduce so-called "safety kiosks" to enhance city security. These kiosks would function as small police stations, but also be staffed by guards and field assistants to increase local presence and coordination of safety initiatives. The Södermalm District Committee agrees that safety efforts need strengthening but believes existing methods, such as activating priority areas and reinforcing inter-agency cooperation, should be further developed instead.
