Making elder care safe for LGBTQ+ Stockholmers

A motion has been put forward by Andréa Hedin (M) to LGBTQ+-certify home care services in Stockholm. The mover believes that older LGBTQ+ individuals worry about future care and that their homes should be safe spaces where no one has to hide their identity. The Södermalm district administration agrees this is an important issue and states they are already working to strengthen expertise on LGBTQ+ issues and conduct within elderly care, including through training, and are awaiting the city's upcoming LGBTQ+ diploma training for organizations.
