Unanswered Help Requests: Social Services and Disability Support Delays

The Södermalm District Council reports 157 unanswered decisions regarding support under the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS) during the fourth quarter of 2025, with 83 of these being new cases. For elderly care, these often concerned special housing and day activities where individuals declined offers or were awaiting a specific provider. For individuals with disabilities, common reasons for delay included difficulties in recruiting contact persons and the individual not having chosen a provider.
