New Homes for Disabled Residents Planned

The Södermalm District Council will approve a housing plan for individuals with disabilities in the Inner City region (Kungsholmen, North Inner City, and Södermalm) for the years 2026-2036. There is a growing need for specialized housing for these groups, particularly group homes with standard accessibility features. Projections indicate that the number of people needing such housing in the Inner City could increase by 25 percent by 2035, from 547 to 686 individuals, necessitating ongoing planning and collaboration to meet these demands.
