Better Park Care: In-House Plan Needs Council Funds

The Södermalm District Committee has investigated the possibility of taking over park management in-house instead of hiring external contractors like PEAB. The investigation proposes that the committee proceed with a "medi-alternative," which is assessed to provide the best quality and readiness, despite an estimated cost increase of SEK 22.5 million compared to the current arrangement. For this to become a reality, however, the Municipal Council must grant additional investment funds for machinery and vehicles, among other things.
