New Homes and Port Growth at Värtapiren & Frihamnspiren
The City of Stockholm and Stockholm Port AB have agreed on the future use of land at Värtapiren and Frihamnspiren. The aim is to enable continued port operations with cruise ships and ferry traffic, alongside new residential development in southern Norra Djurgårdsstaden. This includes Frihamnspiren being transferred to the port company and the electricity supply for ships being strengthened, which is expected to reduce noise and emissions, thereby improving conditions for building housing in the area.
