Tenstadalen Stormwater Park to Clean Local Waterways
Stockholm Vatten AB plans to construct a stormwater park in Tenstadalen to treat stormwater runoff from the Lunda industrial area before it enters Bällstaån. The park aims to reduce pollutants such as phosphorus, copper, and zinc, which is crucial for improving water quality in Bällstaån and the Mälaren-Ulvsunda Lake. The project has experienced increased costs and delays compared to earlier decisions, partly due to poorer ground conditions and the cancellation of a planned collaboration with the City of Stockholm.
