Improving wastewater treatment plant for future needs
Stockholm Vatten AB plans to renovate digester 5 at the Henriksdal wastewater treatment plant to improve its function and prepare for an upgrade of the treatment process. This renovation is necessary because the digester is over 60 years old and has reached the end of its technical lifespan. The project, estimated to cost up to SEK 78 million, is expected to take place between late 2026 and late 2027 and will ensure the plant can handle future volumes of sewage sludge and produce biogas.
