Police Help for Child Protection and Care
The Skärholmen District Council has decided that certain social services officials may request police assistance in cases involving involuntary care for substance abusers (LVM), involuntary care for young people (LVU), and placing children in protective housing. This allows the police to intervene when such decisions need to be enforced, for example, if a guardian opposes a decision for protective housing. This decision directly impacts children and individuals who may require police assistance in these situations.
