City finances show surplus, impacts on services.
The City District Council for Norra Innerstaden has approved a monthly financial report projecting a surplus of SEK 25.2 million for 2026. While elderly care is expected to generate a SEK 45 million surplus despite staffing challenges in residential and home care due to full-time initiatives and lost government grants, deficits are foreseen in areas like administrative overhead, financial assistance, and labor market measures, partly due to increased maintenance.
