Resident Influence on Local Project Budgets

Sergej Salnikov (SD) proposed a pilot project for a "citizen budget" in Stockholm, giving residents direct influence over a portion of the municipal budget for local projects, a proposal supported by the Norra innerstaden district committee. However, the administration believes such a pilot project is unnecessary, as the city has already been working with citizen budgets for ten years, utilizing an established methodology based on SKR's model, a process also outlined in the city's 2026 budget.
