Strengthening Children's Rights and Well-being in Stockholm
The City District Council for Norra Innerstaden has commented on a proposed action plan for children's rights and influence in Stockholm up to 2030. While generally supportive, the Council believes the plan needs clarification, especially regarding children's participation and influence, to emphasize children as competent individuals with their own rights. They also requested more concrete implementation guidelines and a focus not only on long-term consequences of vulnerable situations, but also on children's immediate health. The City Executive Board proposes approving the action plan to strengthen the city's work on children's rights, combat discrimination, and promote equal living conditions for all children in Stockholm.
