Senior Center Wine: Exploring Permit Options
A citizen proposed that seniors should be allowed to bring their own wine to Vasaträffen, a senior center, and that the center should apply for a serving permit to offer alcohol at cost, after a recent notice prohibited alcohol citing the alcohol law. The city district administration found that the alcohol law requires a serving permit for premises selling non-alcoholic beverages, which Vasaträffen does, thus prohibiting all alcohol without one. The district committee approved the administration's recommendation to not allow BYOB generally, but to explore obtaining temporary serving permits for special events.
