Faster help: Social services decisions without assessment
The City of Stockholm will streamline decisions regarding social services interventions that do not require a needs assessment, a new provision under the updated Social Services Act. The Labour Market, Social, and Elderly Care Committees have been temporarily authorized until 2028 to make these city-wide decisions, aiming to accelerate the implementation of the new law, though district administrations will still be consulted. The Moderates criticized the pace of the transition and requested more frequent follow-ups for increased transparency.
