New Gubbängen football pitch and building plans.

The City of Stockholm plans to construct a new artificial turf football pitch with underfloor heating and a new service building at Gubbängen sports field, to be completed in 2028. This project, including changing rooms, a café, and theory rooms, will partially be leased by Hammarby IF Football, aiming to alleviate the severe shortage of football pitches and benefit both grassroots and elite sports in southern Stockholm. However, debate exists regarding the extent to which the pitch will benefit Hammarby specifically versus other clubs.
