New Apartments Coming to Farsta Strand
Stockholm City Council is set to approve Familjebostäder's plan to build 156 new rental apartments and three commercial premises in Farsta strand, a project named Bjurö 3, costing 712 million SEK with construction starting in 2026 and completion by 2030. While the majority supports this to alleviate the housing shortage and foster growth, the Moderates, Liberals, Christian Democrats, and Sweden Democrats oppose it, citing doubled costs, potential high rents, increased company debt, and the need for more diverse housing options in Farsta strand.
