National Day Celebration Planning and Name

The City of Stockholm has received a referral regarding a final report from the Swedish National Day Foundation on how National Day celebrations can be coordinated and made more inclusive nationwide. The city welcomes the proposal for county administrative boards to take a clearer coordinating role, while municipalities, like Stockholm, continue to organize local celebrations, particularly focusing on citizenship ceremonies at the City Hall. However, the Christian Democrats in Stockholm oppose calling National Day "June 6th" instead of "National Day" and believe its solemnity should be strengthened.
