The City Executive Board suggests rejecting the motion, citing existing support from elder care coordinators and home help, plus opportunities from a new Social Services Act. While the Committee for the Elderly is positive about an investigation, it wants a broader scope, whereas the Enskede-Årsta-Vantör and Hässelby-Vällingby districts oppose a new function, pointing to current support. However, the Kungsholmen District Council and the Housing Agency see value in an investigation, believing adapted housing can enhance elder independence and reduce city costs.
